One of our long standing customers recently re-located to larger premises in the heart of Trafford Park, Manchester.
The offices were fitted out to a very high standard but at the time no air conditioning was fitted. They only fitted a central heating plant.
Even during the winter the staff were uncomfortable with the conditions within the office areas. As temperatures climbed towards the summer period conditions deteriorated.
Something had to be done!
Hyva called in their trusted air conditioning supplier, Kool-it Services, to help them solve their year round excessive heat problem.
Kool-it attended site to carry out a free of charge initial survey. It was found that the most economical way to solve the heat related problems would be to use Mitsubishi Electric in-ceiling cassette systems for the ground floor, a Mitsubishi Electric high wall mounted unit for the Canteen and a top of the range Mitsubishi Electric ducted system complete with swirl diffusers for the large open plan first floor office.
Kool-it installed six Mitsubishi Electric systems to the site. The result is that warm or cool air is delivered to the offices to provide the desired conditions whatever the weather. A comfortable environment is achieved within 10 minutes of the systems being switched on – a huge improvement from before.
Initial reports back from the site have been very positive and they are enjoying the cool air during the current heat-wave!
The use of energy efficient Inverter driven condensing units meant that the electric bills will be as low as possible. As the occupancy levels vary significantly during the day this is especially important as the inverters automatically vary their output depending on room conditions. Savings will also be made from switching the radiators off in each area.
Using two installation teams, the job was completed and commissioned in just eight days.
